I was looking at the
I was looking at the Canyoning website and was wondering about the pictures that they mention there. I'm probably going to want some. Is that included in the 13500 or are we responsible for the cost of them over and above that?
pictures
included in the price is a digital copy of our group picture. They'll post it on the website within a week or two of us going. Beyond that, after we finish all the pictures will be available for preview at their kiosk and you can order your own prints and digital copies.
tough camera
I just got a waterproof camera (Olympus 1050 - Y10,000 cheaper @ K's denki than anywhere else!) & will be trying it out on this trip. I've used waterproof disposable cameras for snorkeling many times, gotten ok results - might be worth bringing one of those along.
waterproof disposable camera
I took a waterproof disposable camera last year. Don't bother-it's too dark on the canyoning route so the pictures won't be any good. The Olympus should do a great job though. I think that's the same camera that the Canyons staff uses.
The group photo is included with the trip (they send a copy to the group leader so you can get it from them). They'll take another picture of you that you can buy for 1000 yen I think. The picture's pretty cool, but I didn't buy mine last year.
Which area/run?
I'm just curious which area and sub-area we'll be in. I'm trying to figure out whether or not I'll be able to launch myself over a waterfall, lol.
Canyoning pics online
Thanks to everyone who came canyoning, it was a GREAT time, really enjoyed it. I just put my pics (92 of them) on my web site, some good, a few will be deleted later. You can download the photos, save them to your own computer, email them to family, no restrictions on them. Any questions or problems, email me or post here.
