Event Information:
The 2009 Summer Conference, officially called the 2009 Conference for Returning & Re-contracting JETs, will be taking place on June 12th from 9:30am (for Re-contracting JETs) and 1:30pm (for Returning JETs). Attendence is mandatory at your respective meeting, so please don't be late and remember that business attire is required. Coolbiz is in effect at the Prefectural Offices, so ties/long sleeves are optional.

Dress Code...

Reading the excellent post and comments on the CO2 emmissions thread reminded me that we haven't really addressed dress code. Now, I know that everyone knows how to dress for business functions, but seeing how "cool biz" has jsut started I thought there might be some comfusion.

Seeing as how there will some higher ups attending the meeting, and these higher ups only see us a few times a year, I'm hoping that everyone will agree to start the meeting us a little more formal than "cool biz". After the announcements and aisatsu, transforming into "cool biz" mode will be allowed (more like encouraged).
