Event Information:

GAJET's long awaited, and always fun canyoning trip is coming up, October 10-11th! The period for reservations and payment TBA! More info as the date draws near.

What's canyoning?
It's wearing a bunch of protective gear and sliding down natural water slides in the natural beauty of Gunma. Canyons has been in Gunma for years, and their trips are professional, safe and a most importantly fun.

Who should come? You! It's an awesome time! Everyone is welcome... until we have 25 people.

What's included? Professionally guided canyon tour, including gear rental and transport. An after canyoning BBQ, lodging for the evening AND a post canyoning party with DJs from the now infamous Full Moon Parties

I'll let the organizers tell you exacts, but I went on this last year, and will probably go again this year. It's up in Minakami. You take the train up there and the group, called Canyons, will pick you up in a bus from the station. Costs ¥12,000 for Canyoning plus the overnight. You just have to tell the organizer that you're interested and that reserves you a spot, as long as it isn't full.

To anyone who hasn't tried canyoning, you have GOT to do it. Basically you are the raft, jumping off waterfalls & rappelling down ropes. Not as scary as I thought it would be, but much more adventurous. Good fun @ night too. One of my best weekends ever in Japan. Sign up fast because the trip fills up quick. Unfortunately I have a prior commitment that wknd & can't make it, wish I could though.
