ALT Evaluations

Can any ALTs tell me how often ALTs get an evaluation from their school? And do you get a copy, good, bad, or so so?
Thanks

There is no universal system in place for ALTs. Some school boards have been known to distribute yearly evaluations that have been filled out by the ALT's JTEs. On the other end of the spectrum there are ALTs who have never received anything. I know of one school where all teachers, including the ALT, receive student evaluations.

Yes, that is what I'm

Yes, that is what I'm saying. Employee evaluations, which aren't that common here, are left at the discretion of the contracting organizations. They are encouraged, but only the local BOE (or school principal perhaps) has the power to make them mandatory.

I work in the Compulsory Education Division of the Gunma BOE.

The school I'm working at

The school I'm working at now had all of the students at the end of the year submit "What I think of (insert teacher name here)" things. Apparently my students think I'm crazy. On the other hand the first school I was at did absolutely nothing in any way shape or form. Brand new, fresh out of college teachers at that school got evaluations because the school was kind of a dumping ground for bad kids, but no one else did.
