Every year Gunma FM 86.3 hosts a battle of the bands, showcasing the best music Gunma Prefecture has to offer. Out of some 100 applicants 40 are chosen. And guess what guys, Transmission Ends made the cut!

On Sunday August 29. 2010 Transmission Ends will duke it out with 9 other bands at Refuge in Takasaki to see who comes out on top. For this one we're gonna need everyone's support! This is a call to arms to all Transmissio...n Ends friends. We need you show up and rock out with us to let the judges know that not only is Transmission Ends is the best band in Gunma, but that we've also got the best fans this side of Tokyo! Let your freak flags fly!!!

Doors open at 1:30pm, 10 bands total, and best of all... IT'S FREE! No bullshit ticket selling, no stupid drink charge... FREE!!!

I'm a little shaky on some of the fine details, but here's how it pretty much goes. There 40 bands that will play. 10 bands on 4 different days Sun 8/15, Sun 8/22, Sun 8/29, Sun 9/5 (the first 3 will all be at Refuge, while the one on 9/5 will be somewhere else). Each show the 10 bands get to play 2 songs each (we'll be playing "Loaded" and "Animal Stride"). At the end of the show, the judges will announce who goes on to the next round/show. The bands who qualify to move on will have another round/show at a later date. After those shows, there will be another round of cuts and the bands who move on will go to the 1 final show sometime in November. And of course, that's when Transmission Ends gets crowned the best band in Gunma ;-).

All these shows are on Sunday afternoon and they're FREE! Check 'em out!
