Here it is; the definitive TV schedule for Japanese telly.

Channel Guide

Terrestrial Stations

NHK-G = Channel 1
NTV = Channel 4
TBS = Channel 6
Fuji TV = Channel 8
TV-Asahi = Channel 10
TV-Tokyo = Channel 12

Satellite Stations

As you can see, Sykperfect TV are not showing any live games. They're
showing games in full on a delay during the daytime and early evening on Ch
181. This channel is free

BS1 is a satellite channel. It's free to air but it is NOT a Skyperfect (CS)
channel. Even if you have Skyperfect TV you cannot get it. There are three
main ways that people access it. The first is to have a separate dish (as I
have). The second is to see if your apartment is connected to BS via a
communal dish on the roof of your building. It's easy to check because
you'll have two aerial sockets next to each other in your rooms, the one
you're maybe not now using being the BS connection. In either case, you need
a BS-enabled VCR and/or TV to see the channels. A new BS VCR might set you
back 10,000 yen. Finally, your apartment might have access to a cable TV
package. If so, this will definitely include BS1 and maybe Bs-hi (see
below). You don't need a BS VCR or TV in this case. Best to ask your
landlord to see if cable is available

Bs-hi is a digital station. You require an entirely different satellite
system to view it. No-one I know has it, other than a girl I knew a while
back who lives in Nakano. Ask me for her phone number if you want to contact
her.

On a final note, NHK-G and BS1 will have bilingual commentary. During the
last World Cup they took the BBC TV commentary so we might be able to hear
Motson and co. this time round. Dunno about the other stations
