Sumo Trip - Spring 2007

Event Information:

Cost: ¥3,600

If you're going home, this will be your last chance to be a part of the excitement of a live sumo match. Come drink and talk with friends as titans clash below you. It will be on the second to last day, so the drama will be high. If you have never seen a 150kg man fly through the air, you must come on this trip.

Sorry, I didn't update this along with the group email posts. The advanced ticket reservations already passed. But people can still try to get seats if they show up to the tournament really early. They will sell out quickly, so it will take some luck.

Event Location:

Kokugikan Arena, Tokyo

Event Directions:

Take the train down to Tokyo. From Akihabara(秋葉原), get on the JR Sobu line towards Chiba. Get off at Ryogoku(両国) Station. The arena is right next to the station, but you might exit from the wrong side. Look for the large building with flags around.

I can stop by Akihabara to buy my first electronic dictionary and then swing on over to Kokugikan Arena to witness some traditional big boy action...
